What's in a name? That which we call...Dominatrix Mermaid
I feel like I should address the
name of my blog: Dominatrix Mermaid.
It all stemmed from this one swimsuit I
have had for a couple of seasons from Target. When I put it on I said aloud to
myself, ‘I feel like a dominatrix mermaid’ and voilà.
First of all, I would like to make
known that my obsession with mermaids runs deep. Mermaids are
majestic creatures of folklore who embody grace, beauty and seduction.

I believe it is important
for women to embrace their sensuality and chalk it up to a sense of empowerment.
This is not to say women are to solely be viewed as sex objects. I would not call myself a feminist
because I don’t believe women are equal to men - I believe women are superior to
men :)
What's in a name? that which we
call a rose
By any other name would smell as
sweet

Home
This past week I went home to unwind and gather myself after finishing 12 hours of summer school. I'm about to be all cliché when I say, 'home is where the heart is' because there is no place where I can be completely stripped down of all enhancements and filters and totally be myself. I shared cherished stories and laughs with my precious family and played with all of our pets.
There is nothing like a West Texas sunset.
A particular special piece of my heart is my little man, Brian. He is an english bulldog terrier with huge ears and an impressive vertical. He's pretty much a bundle of pure white sunshine.
I call this my muu-muu dress. I love the tie-dye pattern and the delicate lace at the bottom- I could live in this dress.

I feel like I look so much like my mom when she was my age in this picture :)
I have less than a week until I begin my last semester as an undergrad - only 18 hours stand between me and that expensive-ass piece of paper. I plan continue to take advantage of my free time and finish reading "50 Shades of Grey." I feel like I'm the only woman in who hasn't read this book, so I decided to jump on the bandwagon - book review coming soon.
