Halloween Post!

I'm a mouse, DUH!

My girl Chrystal dressed as sriracha. So cute and creative!

All smiles

If you don't know what quote my shirt is from...it's from "Mean Girls"

So this Halloween I decided to rock this tank top with a pair of mouse ears as a parody of Karen from "Mean Girls."To keep warm I wore my black leather jacket with my matching black leather thigh-high boots. I had so much fun on Rainey Street where I danced, had a few adult beverages and ogled everyone's costume. I wish you all a spooky, happy and safe Halloween!

"In the regular world Halloween is when children dress up and beg for candy. In girl world Halloween is the one time a year a girl can dress like a total slut and not say anything about it. The hardcore girls wear lingerie and some form of animal ears."

Batty For You

Just snapped a few pics while window shopping on Congress Ave. This was taken beside a book store. I just got these black thigh-high leather boots and am pretty obsessed with them. This outfit is the product of me wanting to be comfortable and put minimal effort into getting ready. I felt tom-boyish, sexy and mysterious all at the same time.

Vintage Mod

Lipstick: Clinique "A Different Grape"

I owe this outfit post to my sweet sister. She allows me to raid through her closet and pull countless number of clothing items from their hangers. When the items are not left crumpled on the floor she’s cool with me borrowing her clothes. ;) It’s so great to have a sister to toss around ideas and receive honest feedback, not to mention having same measurements. Our style is similar in a way that we are both obsessed with anything vintage. I am very pleased of how these pictures came out due to her lovely decorated house.

I Like Turtles

Cute wittle face
The boyfriend and I went kayaking down the San Marcos River the other day when he spotted this wittle baby turtle. Me being the zealous person that I am scooped the turtle up and put it in the raft with me. He was just too tiny to be all alone. As we skimmed through the water together, I conversed with the little guy through the dialect of baby talk. I asked how he/she felt about me becoming his new mommy and contemplated which one of the ninja turtles I wanted to name him- probably Michael Angelo. After we docked I scooped the little guy up in a Sperry and took him to the outdoor recreation center for a second opinion on my mommy hood. After talking to as student employee, he suggested I return my baby turtle to its original habitat. He said from experience that his turtle only lived a month in captivity. The odds of prolonged life outside of captivity and lack of knowledge and experience with turtles deterred me from adopting my amphibian friend. After much debate I said a little prayer and sent the little guy on his way close to where I found him.

PAWS Newsletter

I am currently working on a public relations campaign in my exit-level Mass Communication class for a non-profit organization. I chose PAWS Shelter and Humane Society because of their no-kill policy, and I whole-heartedly support their cause to end animal suffering and overpopulation.
The following is the September edition of the self-created newsletter of Canine Caviar. I created this newsletter for PAWS in order to create awareness for the shelter to save a life and give these four-legged friends a loving home. If you’re interested in a new addition to your life, please choose the loving option of adopting a pet rather than buying an animal from a breeder. For more information, visit www.pawsshelter.org to make donations, view actual pets in the shelter and find out more about PAWS mission. Put a little love in your life: Adopt Now.
